Peterborough's Irish chairman unlikely to endear himself to players after Twitter tirade

The club have now lost four of their last five matches, and are five points off the playoff places.

PETERBOROUGH CHAIRMAN DARRAGH MacAnthony took to Twitter to express his frustration after his side lost 2-0 to Colchester yesterday.

The club have now lost four of their last five matches, and are five points off the playoff places, as they bid for promotion from League One.

And the controversial Dubliner expressed his annoyance in no fewer than 14 tweets (see below), preferring to blame the players rather than the manager for the club’s poor recent form.

The millionaire property entrepeneur took over as chairman of the club in September 2006, overseeing back-to-back promotions, before twice being relegated from the Championship — most recently in 2013.
