STOKE CITY PLAYER Jermaine Pennant has been questioned by Manchester police over allegedly assaulting a woman in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 29-year-old has since been let out on bail and will await an investigation.

Two hours after the alleged incident at a nightclub on Barton Arcade, his BMW collided with an Audi while he was under the influence of alcohol despite being currently banned off the roads, which resulted in a charge for drink-driving while disqualified.
At approximately 3.30am on Sunday 29 April a woman was assaulted at a nightclub on Barton Arcade, Manchester city centre. A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Section 47 assault.”
It is the latest in a long list of off-field problems for the former Arsenal and Birmingham City winger. In 2004, he was banned from driving for 16-months.
A year later, he crashed his car at 6.20am and spent 30 days in prison for drink-driving while serving a previous ban.
Last year, the ex-England U21 international revealed his interest in playing for the Irish national team as he is “not getting any younger” but manager Giovanni Trapattoni opted to turn down the offer.
