MANUEL PELLEGRINI HAS denied that he is the new manager of Premier League side Manchester City.
The Malaga boss has been strongly linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium, with current boss Roberto Mancini’s future in severe doubt following City’s shock 1-0 defeat to Wigan in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

But the Chilean has insisted there has been no deal agreed with the 2012 Premier League champions.
“I categorically deny that I am the new Manchester City coach,” he said. “Nothing has been signed and no agreement reached. I’ve been fortunate enough, and very proud, that every year the big clubs are interested in me.
“I have an agreement with Malaga not to talk to anyone and nothing has been agreed with any other outfit. I hope the future of this club will become somewhat clearer in the next few days.”
The speculation over Mancini’s position at City has left the Italian angered by the club’s failure to address what is a clear threat to his authority. He revealed his frustration in an outburst aimed at the chief of communications at the Etihad, Vicky Kloss.
“Vicky, or the other people who work for the press, don’t stop this rubbish,” he said. “You have written this for six months and in the last two weeks, it’s been too much. I don’t understand why.
“For football, I answer. For the press, you should talk to Vicky and the other people. If it’s true, it will be true. But for me, no. I’m happy to work for Manchester City. I’m happy with my job, about what we did in three years.”
