THE SPORTING SUCCESS of the weekend has undoubtedly been Skibbereen man Paul O’Donovan winning gold at the World Rowing Championships yesterday.
He’s well known for his “pull like a dog” phrase in an interview with RTÉ Sport straight after his semi-final at the Olympics – and yesterday he was at it again.
Speaking with RTÉ’s Saturday Sport on Radio One, he summed up his World Championship form before the final:
