PAUL O’CONNELL MADE his long-awaited return to rugby today, as Munster A defeated Leinster A 24-17 at the UL Bowl.
O’Connell played 40 minutes, as his side ultimately got the better of their Irish rivals.
Andrew Conway scored Leinster’s opening try, before Munster replied, with both Ronan O’Mahony and Danny Barnes crossing over to put them ahead.
Though Cathal Marsh’s try had kept Leinster within a few points of their opponents, a late Scott Deasy drop goal sealed the home side’s victory.
