A WISE — YET sometimes slightly forgetful — old man once told me: get a job doing something you love and you won’t work a day in your life.
To us, Paul O’Connell looks like someone who’s heeded that advice too.
This week the Ireland talisman is in camp with his British and Irish Lions team-mates in Carton House. And look how much craic he’s having.
Today, he got to…
Attend the gun show with Dan Lydiate
‘Nine hundred and ninety nine….’
Get stuck in outside
‘It’s my ball and I’m going home!’
Show off his lifting technique
Wear a funny suit and experience sub-zero temperatures
It’s like when the steam room breaks in your local gym cos of lads messing with the sensor. Again.

10KG…….????…….10KG….. …good grief.
Low weight + high reps = beach body!
Bro do u even lift ?
I’d say he roared like a bear after he dropped it on the floor.
@ David lol. Lift light weights will not get you a ‘beach body’ or one where you are any decent size and not just skinny
Getting cut is ALL about your nutrition and dieting after you have bulked and built substantial muscle through heavy compound lifting.

10kg on each 'plate' of the dumbbell = 20kg in total for each arm.
Anyone else sick of all this British Lions nonsense coverage already? And the matches have not even started yet!
No just you
Nope…
Paddy just ignore the stories nobody’s making you read them.
Paddy I am going to back you in this one. Can’t understand the fuss and I do like rugby on a casual basis . Australia tour the northern hemisphere quite frequently and are not a particularly great side . I can really see what the fuss is about. To save everyone the trouble I know that if that’s how I feel u should stick to my bog ball and running
Rugby. Big men! In shorts! What’s to complain about? They even took their shirts off in one paddy!
When Australia come up here it is at the end of the Super 14 season and the four nations, which involves 6 games, home and away vs New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina. By the time the northern tour omes around it’s a question of ast man standing gets the nod. And they arrive up here just as we are getting into our stride in November.
When the Lions visit them situation is reversed. That’s part of what makes these tours so tough for the tourists.
Nah just you the more the better, beats reading about how shi t e Trap and his dated tactics!!
Thanks for explanation Ben which makes a lot of sense. I think I just have a bit of a problem with the constant hype about the next ‘huge game ‘ that can’t be missed. Soccer is even worse. It used to be great to see the English years playing Barcelona juventus and Milan . Now it’s no big deal. They play each other nearly every year
I’ve found that if I don’t like the hype of a game or particular sport, I avoid it by not visiting a sports website, or at the very least not clicking on clearly marked articles about such subjects, and reading, then posting my own comments. Hype avoided.
No, I am one of the 1,131 people who disagree with you.
What is this super 14 you speak of??
Oops! My apologies to the Melbourne Rebels. It is of course now 15 and just called Super Rugby. Put it down to my advancing years.
All steroids
U will all see big story about to break
JAMES IS MAD FOR THE STEROIDS
Exclusively here, and live!
Loving all the rugby coverage journal, just like the Celtic tiger all over again.
Definitely just you Paddy.
