Cork's Patrick Horgan free to face Cats after Croke Park hearing

The Glen Rovers man was sent off in the Munster final defeat to Limerick.

CORK FORWARD Patrick Horgan has successfully appealed the red card he picked up in the Munster SHC final defeat to Limerick last weekend.

The Glen Rovers clubman was dismissed moments before half-time at the Gaelic Grounds.

Horgan will now be free to face Kilkenny in a much-anticipated All-Ireland SHC quarter-final tomorrow week, the Rebels have confirmed.

The forward travelled to face officials at Croke Park with Cork skipper Pa Cronin and goalkeeper Anthony Nash, with the Rebels arguing the incident was accidental.
