EVERY MORNING, WE bring you all of the info you need to make sure you don’t miss a second of Paralympic gold.
Ireland are currently second (yes, second!) on the per capita-based medal table, which is as fine a measure as any to illustrate how phenomenal the recent accomplishments of Jason Smyth and co have been.
And yet, there’s still the possibility of even more success to come.
Meanwhile, Darragh McDonald, who has previously won a gold medal at these Games, hopes to emulate this success, as he competes in the 100m freestyle S6 at 9.50am. And shortly afterwards, McDonald’s international colleague, James Scully, is in the 100m freestyle S5 heats, which startat approximately 10.23am.
Finally, in cycling, Catherine Walsh & Fran Meehan feature in the individual road race B at 10.30am. They’ve already been phenomenally successful in recent days, winning not one but two medals. So it would be a fitting end to the Games from their perspective if they could complete a hat-trick today.
The same aforementioned race also includes Katie-George Dunlevy & Sandra Fitzgerald, while James Brown & Damien Shaw compete in the individual road race B at 2.30pm.

Cycling
Almost everything Catherine Walsh & Fran Meehan have done so far at these Games has been pretty special. Their race this morning at 10.30am is likely to be no exception.
Athletics
Can the embattled Oscar Pistorius overcome his recent problems and retain the 400m crown? Tune in at approximately 9.57pm to find out.
Swimming
Team GB’s Ellie Simmonds attempts to continue her recent success in the 100m freestyle event, though she faces stiff competition in the form of the USA’s Victoria Arlen (assuming they both qualify from their heats at 9.57am, of course). Simmonds, who has dwarfism, is hoping to claim a third gold medal at these Games, and the final of her event takes place at 5.51pm.
