IRELAND’S KATIE-GEORGE Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal have successfully defended their world title in the Women’s B Tandem Road Race at the Para-cycling World Championships in Maniago, Italy.
The 2016 Paralympic champions finished 81.6km race in a time of two hours and 11 seconds to complete the double at this year’s Worlds, once more finishing clear of Britain’s Lora Fachie and Corrine Hall who took silver.

On Friday, Dunlevy and McCrystal defended their Time Trial crown, finishing 17 seconds clear of the British duo with a time of 35:26:37.
The Irish pair also won both races at the 2017 Worlds, and so today’s victory was the final piece of an extraordinary double-double.
