THE MEMORY OF the late Páidí Ó Sé will be remembered next year with the unveiling of a life-size bronze monument outside his home in West Kerry.
A committee has been formed to recognize the contribution of the former Kerry legend, who passed away in December 2012.
The aim is unveil the monument on May 16th 2015, on what would have been Páidí’s 60th birthday. The statue will be erected outside Páidí’s home in Ard A Bhóthair in Ventry.
The committee has been working with friends of Páidí from the corporate sector to contribute towards the cost of this undertaking.

Páidí will also be remembered on the weekend of February 21st-23rd with the 25th anniversary of the ‘PhoneWatch Comórtas Peile Páidí Ó Sé’. Taoiseach Enda Kenny will be on hand tonight officially launch the event in the Ballsbridge Hotell
40 adult men’s and ladies club teams will travel to the Dingle Peninsula for the event. Almost 10,000 club players over 25 years have featured in the event and has grown into a major international GAA event with senior , intermediate and junior clubs travelling from over ten counties as well as Boston, London, Manchester and Brussels this year.
