VIDEO: Padraig Harrington kicks a sweet field goal at the Phoenix Open

The Dubliner is in third place and eight shots behind in-form Phil Mickelson.

PADRAIG HARRINGTON GOT into the Superbowl spirit by attempting a field goal on the Phoenix Open’s 16th hole.

The Dubliner shot an -8 round of 64 to leave himself in third place, two shots back from Brandt Snedeker and eight back from tournament leader Phil Mickelson.

Harrington, who is in the hunt for the PGA tour event, took some time out from his golf game to have some fun on the infamous stadium hole.

The commentators claimed the Irishman had never kicked an American football before but we suspect that our Paddy was practicing.

The final round takes place later this evening with Harrington going out just before the final pairing of Snedeker and Mickelson.
