Great day for Tipperary's Maher brothers as they both win college finals

There were wins for Garda College and Mary Immaculate College at Pearse Stadium earlier.

WHETHER IT’S FOR county, club or college, the Maher brothers are used to winning and it was a good start to the year for the Tipperary hurlers this afternoon.

In the Fitzgibbon Cup final at Pearse Stadium, Ronan scored four points to help Mary Immaculate College to victory over IT Carlow before Padraic followed suit with Garda College in the Ryan Cup final.

After playing their part in Tipp’s All-Ireland hurling success in 2016, as well as earning All-Star awards, the duo are already on the board for 2017.
