Paddy Pimblett escapes with very contentious win - then gets sick on live TV

Judges controversially give Pimblett the win in Cage Warriors main event.

LIVERPOOL’S PADDY PIMBLETT escaped with his featherweight title at Cage Warriors: Unplugged, but his reputation as one of MMA’s next big things took a beating at the hands of Julian Erosa.

Erosa held the upper hand throughout Saturday night’s main event and looked to be a clear winner but the judges controversially scored the fight unanimously for the champion, 49-46, 48-47 and 48-47.

Pimblett was clearly feeling the after-effects of a brutal contest and as he was interviewed following his win, got sick on live television.

Elsewhere on the card there were wins for Belfast’s Karl Moore who scored a first-round stoppage against Paco Estevez, and Cork’s Lloyd Manning who got the night off to an explosive start with a TKO win over Nathan Sparks inside 50 seconds.
