PADDY MCCOURT HAS expressed his delight after completing a move to Luton Town, signing a two-year contract in the process.
The 31-year-old Northern Ireland international has been on the lookout for a new club ever since leaving Brighton in May, following a loan spell at Notts County last season.
“I’m delighted,” McCourt said in his first interview after joining the club. “It’s good to get things sorted and I’m looking forward to meeting up with the lads and getting things started.”
The former Derry City and Celtic player added: “It’s a club that’s very ambitious. I’ve spoken with the manager a few times and I’ve spoken to the chief executive and they have big plans so that was my thinking behind signing the two-year deal. Not only do I want to be successful this year but I want to carry that on next year as well.”
