UFC BOSTON GOT some added Irish flavour this morning with confirmation that Paddy Holohan will return to the Octagon on 18 January.

Holohan takes on Shane Howell on the card headlined by SBG team-mate Conor McGregor against Denis Siver.

Dublin’s Holohan (10-1-1) will be hoping to get back to winning ways in TD Garden after suffering the first defeat of his career in a surprise loss to Chris Kelades last month.

“I’m so happy to be a part of the UFC card in Boston,” he said.

We are going to recreate the same atmosphere we had in Dublin; it’ll be Dublin in Boston.

“As I always say to the fans, I’m one of them and I know with the Boston crowd it will be the same, like home away from home. I know I’m the job to start that party over in Boston.”

Howell, 30, will also be out to make amends after he lost on his UFC debut against Ray Borg back in June.

The American, who had a six-fight win streak prior to that, has an overall record of 13-8.

Holohan said: “I’ve seen a bit about him, his record suggests that he’s been around and I can’t wait to have a knock around with him.

I don’t really do early predictions but I’m coming to finish this guy.
