50/1 LONG-SHOT LIBERTY Counsel finished strongest to win today’s Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.
Jockey Ben Dalton was able to see off the stiff competition of Willie Mullins’ Away We Go (25/1) and Home Farm (10/1).
Davy Russell on Sweeney Tunes (12/1) could only do enough for fourth place, one better than the fancied Panther Claw (9/1).
But the feature race of the day at the Meath course belonged to the 10-year-old mare trained by Dot Love.
