Ouchies! Scott Dann suffers 'ruptured testicle'

Under-pressure Blackburn manager Steve Kean will now plan without the defender ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Bolton.. and the rest of the crucial Christmas period.

BLACKBURN ROVERS DEFENDER Scott Dann is facing a month-and-a-half on the sidelines after the club confirmed he has a ‘ruptured testicle’.

The centre-half picked up the painful-sounding knock in the defeat to West Brom this weekend.

Under-pressure manager Steve Kean will now plan without the player ahead of tomorrow night’s clash with fellow strugglers Bolton… and the rest of the crucial Christmas period.

“We have suffered another blow because Scott Dann is out for six weeks,’ said Kean. ‘He will have groin surgery. When you add that to Gael Givet, Ryan Nelsen and Michel Salgado, we are losing defenders at the moment, which is tough.

“But we have to face it up and crack on, although that is a tough one to take.”
