A bizarre try you may have missed from last weekend's Pro12 action

This is why you shouldn’t try to take a quick lineout yards from your own line.

WE WERE SO caught up with Tommy Bowe’s Ravenhill return and “kickgate” in Thomond Park that we missed this bizarre try in Saturday’s Pro12 match between Ospreys and Treviso.

Treviso’s decision to take a quick lineout yards from their own line backfired spectacularly when scrum-half Tobias Botes fluffed his kick and the ball bobbled forward into Ben John’s hands.

John will never score an easier try — but was his foot in touch when he caught it? The officials didn’t seem to think so.

Bizarre.
