Preliminaries: Oscar has taken Chelsea medical

However, the Brazil starlet says he will wait until after the London Olympics to decide where his future lies.

CHELSEA TARGET OSCAR has confirmed he has undergone a medical with the club, but will wait until after the Olympics to decide his future.

He confirmed the news after Brazil’s 2-0 win over Great Britain in a warm-up game in Middlesbrough, but added he was ye to sign a contract and would make a decision on his future after the Games.

“I only had a meeting with the doctor, nothing else,” Oscar told reporters via an interpreter.

“I didn’t sign any contract yet and I will wait until the end of the Olympic Games to decide my future. All Brazilian players have this dream. I have, like everybody, the dream to play in Europe and the Premier League.”

Oscar, who had previously told reporters he wanted to stay at Internacional, also hopes to impress fans in Britain with his performances at the tournament.

He added: “It’s like a dream for me, participating in the Olympics, it’s so important for my career and I hope to win the gold medal here.

“It was a good result tonight but we have to improve and grow during the competition to reach the final.

“I am enjoying, it is not a pressure. I am focused on the Olympics but want to show the British fans that I can play well here.”

Several players in Brazil’s squad have been linked with a move to the Premier League, including Oscar, Lucas Moura and Hulk.

Tottenham midfielder Sandro said he would be delighted to have more of his countrymen playing in England’s top flight.

‘Like a present’

“Of course I am very happy to know that they have the possibility of coming over to play in the Premier League,” he said.

“I have been quite successful here and hopefully seeing my team-mates playing in the Premier League will be nice for me and be like a present for me having them play in the same league.”

The 20-year-old playmaker has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge throughout the transfer window and there had been speculation he had gone to the club to have a medical after arriving in London for the Olympics with Brazil.
