Open thread: What did you make of today's All-Ireland football final?

The wait is over for Donegal but did they deserve the win? Tell us what you think.

IT’S ALL OVER.

Donegal have been crowned 2012 All-Ireland football champions after a four-point victory over Mayo in Croke Park today.

Racing into a seven point lead after just 12 minutes, Donegal never looked liked losing their ascendency, despite a number of mini rallies from Mayo.

What do you think? Did Mayo’s slow start cost them the game or were Donegal always destined to bridge a two decade wait for Sam Maguire?
