Open Thread: How do you think Ireland will get on against France this afternoon?

We didn’t think it would be this way.

WHEN WE ALL looked at the fixture list before the start of the Six Nations most of us were seduced into imagining this game as a title or a Grand Slam decider.

How foolish we all were.

Instead, this evening’s 5pm kick-off at the Aviva Stadium will feature the two most disappointing teams in the championship.

A wooden spoon is on the line. So, who will be left with another portion of egg on their face come 7pm?

Will pride be enough to push France towards their first Six Nations point since, eh, the last time they met Ireland?

As it did in Cardiff, will the whole gameplan come together again for Declan Kidney and bring forth a famous win  - albeit  one which will ultimately mean not a lot?

Tell us how you think the action will unfold; your hopes and fears over the squad selection and where you think Ireland might find a little joy in an otherwise gloomy tournament.
