Onuoha returns to training with Manchester City's first team squad

Nedum Onuoha is back in training with the Manchester City first team as the controversy surrounding Garry Cook rumbles on.

NEDUM ONUOHA IS back in the first-team plans of Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, although the recall is not said to be related to the controversy surrounding the player’s mother and chief executive Garry Cook.

Onuoha – back at the club after a season on loan at Sunderland – had been made to train either on his own or with the club’s youth team players.

However, he has asked for the chance to re-establish himself and could be in the squad for the Saturday’s clash with Wigan Athletic, according to The Guardian website.

Cook is currently under investigation over an email received by Dr. Anthonia Onuoha from his account last October, in which she was mocked for her battle against cancer.

The former Nike executive insists that his email account was hacked but the matter is currently the subject of an internal review at the club. The findings will go back to the club’s owner Sheikh Mansour and the chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak in Abu Dhabi.
