Team Ireland to be 100th at Rio 2016 opening ceremony
It’ll be a late night for Irish sports fans. Tonight’s opening ceremony in Rio will kick off at 12am and is likely to last until 4am Irish time.
Ireland are scheduled to emerge around halfway through the procession of teams at 100th of 209 sides. Hosts Brazil will be last out to take the spectators’ acclaim with Greece first out.
Paddy Barnes, of course, will lead the Irish athletes with the flag.
