O'Gara set to break record, as Munster ring the changes for Cardiff clash

The out-half has been named in the province’s side for their game at the weekend.

RONAN O’GARA IS set to make history this Saturday, after being named in the Munster side to face Cardiff Blues in the RaboDirect PRO12 at Musgrave Park on Saturday.

The 35-year-old Ireland international will become the province’s most capped player, as he lines out for the 234th time in a competitive match.

Doug Howlett, James Downey and Conor Murray are the only players to remain in the side following their game against Ulster.

Meanwhile, Keith Earls returns to the team, and CJ Stander has been deemed fit enough to be named on the bench.

Munster XV to play Cardiff Blues: F Jones, D Howlett (capt), K Earls, J Downey, J Murphy, R O’Gara, C Murray, D Kilcoyne, M Sherry, S Archer, D Foley, D Ryan, T O’Donnell, S Dougall, J Coughlan.

Replacements: S Henry, W du Preez, BJ Botha, B Holland, CJ Stander, D Williams, I Keatley, C Laulal.
