Having suddenly parted ways with Newstalk almost two months ago, Ken Early, Simon Hick, Mark Horgan, Eoin McDevitt and Ciaran Murphy look set to make a return to the airwaves in the coming days.
They didn’t immediately comment when contacted this afternoon.
The five left Newstalk after a long, ongoing negotiation about the future of the show ultimately came to a head. Ger Gilroy and Joe Molloy have presented the popular nightly show since.

The so-called OTB5 have been on gardening leave since their shock exit from Digges Lane. But an update from their @TheSecondCaptains Twitter account today reads:
“Hey everyone, its been a while but it looks like we’re close to quittin’ time #gardenleave #SecondCaptainsComingSoon “
