ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC players and staff were left sweating last night as they tried to secure last-minute documentation on their way to Kazakhstan for their European tie.
The Inchicore side – who had already secured visas – were told the documentation was incorrect while on their way east through Heathrow, according to Mark McCadden in this morning’s Irish Daily Star.
One staff member rushed to the centre of London in a bid to resolve the issue while players and staff had their baggage removed from the plane.
Pete Mahon’s side face Shakhter Karagandy in the Europa League tomorrow.
