Not for Trap's eyes: Shane Long gets the guitar out

The Ireland striker belted out a Bob Marley classic on Soccer AM over the weekend.

IF THE DEMISE of Andy Reid’s international career is anything to go by, it’s probably better that Giovanni Trapattoni doesn’t get his hands on this footage.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder famously had a fallout with the Italian after getting hold of a guitar belonging to one of the backroom staff and leading a singalong into the early hours during a trip to Germany back in 2008.

West Brom striker Shane Long linked up with Irish team-mate Kevin Doyle for a quick Q&A session with Soccer AM’s Tubes last week and duly obliged when invited to give his own version of the Bob Marley classic ‘No Woman, No Cry’.

The pair were previewing Sunday’s Black Country derby for the Sky programme and while neither scored in the 5-1 Baggies win, it was an eventful day as Keith Andrews found the back of the net and Mick McCarthy got the sack in the aftermath of the defeat.

We also enjoyed Doyle’s bizarre anecdote about betting on Tiger Woods, Stephen Hunt and a hotel room covered in milk. You couldn’t make that up…
