Northampton really rubbed in their win over Leinster on Twitter last night

The Saints social media crew were quick to pounce on the Blues’ case of mistaken identity.

NORTHAMPTON SAINTS REGAINED their pride, and a little bit of swagger, at the Aviva Stadium last night as they turned Leinster over.

So confident were Saints of taking home the points from Dublin, last night, that they even took time out on Twitter to correct a Leinster mistake. Seconds after Leinster Rugby tweeted that a David Meyler penalty had put the English side 10-6 ahead, Saints responded:

They just couldn’t resist the winky, smiley face, could they?

All in good fun though and we certainly can’t deny Saints the chance to rib a team that put 40 points on them at home last weekend. Centre Luther Burrell posted this Instagram snap from the victorious dressing room last night:

Both sides will need to win their remaining fixtures against Castres and Ospreys to have any hope of getting to the Millennium Stadium next May for a re-run of the 2011 Heineken Cup final, which Leinster won after a stirring second-half comeback.
