No way, Jose: UCD row back on free ticket offer for Villarreal game

Pans to give away 2,000 tickets to game with La Liga outfit are scrapped due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

UCD HAVE SCRAPPED plans to give away 2,000 free tickets for their glamour friendly with La Liga side Villarreal on Saturday.

The League of Ireland club said this evening that ‘unforeseen circumstances’ prompted the decision.

The move comes after the Students last night stated that they’d give away the passes to the first two thousand fans at their ticket office on Friday.

A statement reads:

“The usual Student price of €10 will now apply to adults and students and children will gain entry to this fascinating clash for €5. As an extra incentive for Spanish natives living in Dublin, supporters who present a Spanish Passport will be able to avail of a €5 ticket regardless of their age or student status!”
