NICOLAS ROCHE TOOK an indifferent review of his autobiography to heart and reacted on Twitter last night.
‘Inside The Peloton’, which was written with Irish journalist Gerard Cromwell and includes Roche’s diaries from the Irish Independent, won the 2011 Irish Sports Book of the Year for the cyclist’s brutally honest account of life in the saddle.
However, when a reviewer from cycling website Podium Cafe tweeted a link followed by the line “One word review? Bland”, Roche didn’t take too kindly and made his feelings known on the social media site.
The 27-year-old questioned the life achievements of the reviewer before letting them know that he wouldn’t be losing any sleep over their thoughts on his work.
