UFC FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION Conor McGregor can now boast of a link — albeit a tenuous one — to the Alabama Crimson Tide’s latest US college football title win.
In front of a crowd of 75,700 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona, the Crimson Tide defeated Clemson Tigers 45-40 to clinch their fourth title in seven years last night.
It marked a fifth title overall for legendary coach Nick Saban, who also guided LSU to victory in 2003.
