Manchester United youngster joins Hull on loan

The midfielder has made only two appearances under Louis van Gaal this season.

NICK POWELL HAS joined Hull City on loan for the rest of the season after failing to break into Louis van Gaal’s first-team plans at Manchester United.

Powell has made only nine appearances for the Red Devils since signing from Crewe Alexandre in 2012, spending time on loan at Wigan Athletic and Leicester City.

He has played in only two competitive games this season, coming off the bench in the defeats against Wolfsburg and Bournemouth.

Powell did enjoy success in the Championship during the 2013-14 campaign, however, scoring 12 goals in all competitions for Wigan Athletic.

Hull have also completed the deadline-day signing of Slovakian goalkeeper Dusan Kuciak, who moves to Humberside on an 18-month deal from Legia Warsaw.
