KILKENNY CBS are the All-Ireland Colleges Junior hurling champions after victory over Midleton CBS in Dungarvan. However, the were made to fight all the way by the Cork school.
In less-than-ideal conditions in the Fraher Field, the Kilkenny side raced into a 1-7 to 0-2 half-time lead, thanks to a very significant wind.

However, while Midleton fought back gamely in the second-half, they couldn’t find the goal they needed to bring themselves back into the contest and so it is Kilkenny CBS that will lift it’s first Niall McInerney Cup since 1981.
Colaiste Choilm are through to the Paddy Drummond Cup final in Croke Park after a narrow one point win over Holy Rosary in Nenagh on Saturday.
Holy Rosary led by as much as 1-4 to no score early on as they looked to book their place in the All Ireland Senior ‘B’ football final but a Conor Hughes goal sparked the Cork side into life and the sides went into half-time level at 1-5 apiece.
Cian Kiely raised the green flag for Ballincollig to give them a four point lead late on and though Michael Daly bagged his second goal of the game in the closing stages, it was too little too late for the Mountbellew school.
Scoil Aodháin (Glasnevin) 0-11 St. Eunan’s (Letterkenny) 0-7
Colaiste Choilm will be joined in the final by Dublin’s Scoil Aodháin after they had four points to spare over Letterykenny’s St. Eunan’s in Inniskeen today.
The Donegal side actually enjoyed the better of the early stages but the Dublin school had too much for them in the end as they set up a meeting with the Ballincollig in headquarters on April 12.
