Leicester City's Premier League-winning side is coming apart at the seams

Both N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez are expected to leave.

TWO KEY INGREDIENTS in Leicester’s incredible Premier League-winning campaign are set to depart the club imminently.

N’Golo Kante is expected to be announced as a Chelsea player in the coming days while the club are resigned to losing Riyad Mahrez too.

The French midfielder, who cost the Foxes just £5.5m when he joined from Caen just last summer, will sign a deal at Stamford Bridge worth around $35m.

Mahrez, meanwhile, has a less-clear future.

The Algerian attacker, who was crowned PFA Player of the Year last term following a remarkable Premier League personal haul of 17 goals and 11 assists, was in discussions over a new contract – despite only signing an improved deal last August.

But even though boss Claudio Ranieri was confident he’d stay, it now appears likely Mahrez will move on though there appears no strong steer regarding his next destination.

Signed from Le Havre when Leicester were still in the Championship, Mahrez cost just £375,000 in 2014.

Wherever he ends up next, it’s certain the reigning champions will make a substantial profit.
