FANTASY FOOTBALL FANS can now look at the scoreboard during NFL games to get their updates.
NFL teams will show fantasy statistics throughout this season, an innovation that started with the New Orleans-Green Bay opener Thursday night.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy says Friday the league is offering clubs a “broader and deeper stats package for use on scoreboards.”
He adds the 32 teams are not required to show individual player stats from out-of-town games, but the league office will do so. That way, fantasy fans won’t feel the need to stay home or check their mobile devices for stats while at the stadium.

McCarthy says sitting on a couch may be more comfortable, “but nothing tops being in the stadium with 70,000 fans.”
