AN UPDATE ON the extent of Brian O’Driscoll’s injury has been delayed.
The Leinster man will now be assessed tomorrow after adverse weather conditions disrupted the province’s preparations for Friday night’s Magners League tie with the Scarlets.
Rob Kearney though is likely to ‘sit out the next few months’ – Leinster say – after undergoing surgery, while Andrew Conway’s neck problem will keep him out for three weeks.

O’Driscoll left the field with a suspected fractured jaw during the 29-9 victory against Argentina at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday. Leinster will know how long the centre faces on the sidelines after a medical assessment.
His participation in Leinster’s back-to-back Heineken Cup clashes with Clermont Auvergne next month is in doubt with the Irish Independent this morning saying that he is ‘likely’ to miss the double header.
For his part, the Leinster man yesterday tweeted to his followers: “My jaw is rather sore this morning. Makes it a little easier to take after yesterdays win. Much appreciated support throughout November!”
And earlier he confirmed he’s off solid food for the time being:
Now that I’m on a liquid diet, Busy Feet and Co did do a lovely potato and leak soup today. For you cynics out there it was all paid for! €€
The Sunday Times reported this weekend that O’Driscoll was criticised by Twitter users for posting sponsored links like those for Lexus.
O’Driscoll’s suspected lay-off of five or six weeks would compound the confirmed absences of Kearney and Luke Fitzgerald from the Clermont clashes on December 12 and 18.
Meanwhile, Munster captain Paul O’Connell may be included on the bench for his side’s clash with Cardiff at Thomond Park this Saturday
