THE NEW YORK JETS claimed a 19-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys last night to keep up their play-off push.
It was a tight affair but with 36 seconds to go, Randy Bullock kicked a 40-yard field goal to ensure his team have the edge on the Steelers and the Chiefs in the AFC wild-card race.
The result means the Cowboys are now eliminated with two games remaining.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was excellent for the Jets with 299 yards and a touchdown – in complete contrast to Dallas QB Matt Cassel.
He had a dismal evening before being benched early in the second quarter in favour of Kellen Moore – the Cowboy’s fourth quarterback of the season.
Cassel was 3-for-8 for 37 yards, threw one awful interception and was taken for a 19-yard sack before he was replaced.
Moore did well enough and Dallas led 10-9 at half-time.
But Fitzpatrick found Eric Decker on a three-yard TD pass before Dan Bailey’s FG tied the game for Dallas.
Still, there was time for Bullock to have his say and win a fourth-straight game for the Jets – the first time they managed such a feat since 2010.
