JIMMY BARRY MURPHY has named the four selectors he hopes to see ratified by the Cork County Board, as he prepares to take charge of the Rebel hurlers.
Kieran Kingston, Johnny Crowley, Ger Cunningham and Seánie McGrath all played inter-county hurling and amassed a slew of All-Ireland medals between them.
Kingston played for the Cork hurlers in the 1980s, winning an All-Ireland medal in 1986.
Crowley had a long career with Cork, winning five All-Irelands between 1976 and 1987, also claiming nine Munster titles.
Cunningham is a Cork legend. His inter-county career lasted for 18 years, winning three All-Ireland titles, seven Munster crowns, three NHL titles and three Railway Cup titles with Munster.
McGrath was with the Cork senior hurlers between 1997 and 2003, winning the All-Ireland in 1999 and an All-Star award. McGrath has been a Cork minor hurling selector for the last two years.
