Manchester City have one foot in Capital One Cup final thanks to Negredo treble

AS IF LIFE wasn’t bad enough for Manchester United fans at the minute, Manchester City are cruising into the final of the Capital One Cup after they beat West Ham 6 – 0 in tonight’s semi-final first leg.

The opening goal was the highlight; a 12th minute beauty from Alvaro Negredo, who caught Yaya Toure’s raking pass with a crisp volley.

The Spaniard has since rammed in another to double City’s lead after 26 minutes and Toure brushed off an ankle knock before making it 3 – 0 in the 40th minute.
