IT’S NOT OFTEN you see an indoor basketball game being delayed by the weather, but that’s exactly what happened when the Washington Wizards hosted the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.
The roof of the Verizon Center sprung a leak due to heavy rain in Washington, meaning the game was delayed twice while arena staff used bins and towels to try and control the flow.
When play eventually got back underway, the home side probably wished it hadn’t as they lost for the 19th time this season, 114-107.
