OFF THE BALL have added to their team with Nathan Murphy joining the programme.
The Mayo native spent seven years in Today FM’s sports department before making the Marconi House switch.
“Nathan is one of the best sports reporters and commentators on Irish radio,” said Newstalk sports editor, Ger Gilroy.
“He has the unique ability to bring any sporting occasion to life – a skill which any radio commentator will tell you, is special. He has vast experience across a range of sports and his skills have been commended through radio industry awards.

“Newstalk’s sports offering is the strongest it has ever been and with the remainder of the Premier League, the European Rugby Finals, the GAA Championships, the Ryder Cup and, of course, the World Cup in Brazil, just around the corner, we have an action-packed summer ahead. Nathan will be a great addition to the Off the Ball team and I am delighted to welcome him to Newstalk.”
