'Wasn't a good day' - Nate Diaz's meeting with UFC chiefs didn't go well, according to Dana White

The organisation top brass travelled to Stockton.

TWO DAYS AFTER UFC chiefs travelled to Los Angeles for talks with Conor McGregor, they met with Nate Diaz yesterday.

But the meeting — in Stockton, at Diaz’s insistence — did not go well, according to organisation president, Dana White.

He and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta hoped to discuss a potential rematch with the Dubliner — possibly at UFC 202 in August.

The pair were, of course, set to meet for the second time at UFC 200 in July before McGregor was pulled form the event for refusing to fulfil media obligations.

White said in a text message to ESPN‘s Brett Okamoto last night that the Diaz summit ‘wasn’t a good day’.

McGregor, in the meantime, has been talking up a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
