Nasri insults Arsenal fans, then tells them to forget about him

Samir Nasri really shouldn’t show his face around North London any time soon.

SAMIR NASRI IS doing his best to make sure the Arsenal supporters have plenty to boo about next time he appears at the Emirates, reiterating his claim that Manchester City will win a trophy before the Gunners.

The 24-year-old left Arsene Wenger’s side to join City last summer and claimed he was embarking on a title hunt.

It was absolutely not about the cash, he added.

“Let people think what they want. I know my choice and I know it is a choice about football,” he said at the time.

“We will see at the end of the season when we lift the trophy and we will talk about my choice again and I will show everyone who was thinking it was about money that they were wrong.”

Eight months later, City’s title bid has been derailed after they picked up just five points from their last 15, with Saturday’s defeat to Nasri’s former employers their most damaging of the season.

However, the former Marseille man still feels he did the right thing in leaving North London.

“I’m aware of what I said about titles,” he posted on Twitter on Monday.

“I’m sure I will lift a trophy with Man City before AFC. And to all the Arsenal fans, move on. City are 10 points ahead of you. Just support your team and forget about me.”
