THE DOUBLE INJURY blow suffered by Cork in last weekend’s win over Down has been somewhat offset by the return to the side of former All-Star Nicholas Murphy.
The 33-year-old veteran comes in at 14 in a surprising move that sees him replace Daniel Goulding in the starting line-up.
Goulding left the field last week after sustaining a bad ankle injury, and the situation was made worse when his replacement, Barry O’Driscoll, came off just nine minutes later with a broken jaw.
Murphy is Conor Counihan’s only change from the side that defeated Down last week, meanng that Eoin Cadogan retains his place ahead of captain Graham Canty.
