GIF: Keith Earls dives over for early try in rousing Munster victory

The Limerick native got the home crowd roaring at Thomond Park.

MUNSTER GOT OFF to a fantastic start to their Heineken Cup quarter final victory over Toulouse after Keith Earls crossed over for an early try.

With just over four minutes on the clock, and 20 Munster phases sapping the visitors, Ian Keatley found Simon Zebo, who made a looping pass to Earls before he was smashed in the tackle. The right winger did the rest and Keatley added the conversion.

Toulouse proved their fighting spirit on 55 minutes as Kiwi winger Hosea Gear evaded the home defence to get a try, which was converted by Lionel Beauxis to make it 27-16 going into the closing stages. There was still time for three more tries in the last 10 minutes as Simon Zebo and Paul O’Connell responded to a Joe Tekori score to leave the final scoreboard a healthy 47-23 in Munster’s favour.
