MUNSTER OVERTURNED A 10-point second half deficit to defeat London Irish at Musgrave Park in their least friendly outing before the Pro12 kicks off next week.
Meanwhile, Leinster coach Matt O’Connor is still on the lookout for his first win at the helm as Northampton Saints took a minor piece of revenge for their Premiership final defeat to Tigers with a 21-15 win in Donnybrook.
Indeed, were it not for a late Dan Leavy try the result would have been even less flattering for the Pro12 and Amlin champions who led 8-5 at half time thanks to an early try from Martin Moore and a penalty from Jimmy Gopperth.

Gareth Denman responded just over 10 minutes later for the Saints and, in the second half Samu Manoa grounded try number two to put the visitors in the lead.
A penalty from Steven Myler and two from Sam Oliver put the game beyond Leinster at 8-21 before Leavy’s late score.
There was better news down in Cork, despite Munster and London Irish sharing just six points in a tight opening 40 at Musgrave Park.
Ians, Humphreys and Keatley, provided the first-half penalties, but the crowd were really invited to invest in the game when Bryn Evans exploited the space in the Munster line to its fullest and touched down under the posts.
O’Mahony hit back in the corner four minutes later for the first of his three tries. And although JJ Hanrahan would miss the touchline conversion, he soon made up for it by delivering seven points after dancing his way to a 72nd minute try.
O’Mahony tagged on his two further tries in the 78th minute and again with the clock gone red.
