THE MUNSTER INTER-PROVINCIAL football and hurling sides wonโt need much motivation this year after a number of former heavyweight players were announced as part of the management setup across both codes.
Ex-Clare captain Anthony Daly will take charge of the hurlers, aided by selectors Tommy Dunne (Tipperary) and John Mullane (Waterford).
Between them, the trio have won 3 All-Ireland titles and 9 provincial crowns.
Munsterโs football side will be managed by Corkโs Gerry OโSullivan, whoโll be assisted by Limerick legend John Galvin and five-time All-Ireland winner Tommy Griffin.
Last year, Munster suffered defeat in both their opening games against Connacht.
This time around, theyโll face Leinster on December 5th.
The hurlers are in action at Pearse Park in Galway while the footballers are set for Pairc Esler in Newry.
Throw-in times for both games are to be confirmed.
would love if this was taken seriously and given more coverage, could be a great competition
It will never be taken seriously whilst itโs played in December. Why not have it during the Fitzgibbon weekend break in the League? Perfect filler for all the inter county players not involved in the Fitzgibbon Cup.
God didnโt realise Tommy Griffin has 5 All Irelandโsโฆ.
Pearse Stadium ffs
canโt wait
