The Morning Score: Wednesday
New boss in the Premier County, Man City are stunned and St Pat’s keep the pressure on.
Every morning TheScore.ie brings you the stories you need to know before that first cup of coffee.
1. #GAA It’s done. Tipperary last night announced that Eamon O’Shea has been appointed as the county’s new hurling boss.

O’Shea was previously the team’s coach from 2008-2010, and was part of their All-Ireland triumph in the final year of his time in the position, as well as representing the county as a player at senior level between 1979 and 1986
He succeeds Declan Ryan, who left after the side’s comprehensive loss against Kilkenny in the semi-final of this year’s All-Ireland Championship.
2. #UPSET Everton were last night dumped out of the League cup — whatever it’s called this year — and Man City were stunned by Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa. Catch up on all the action here.
3. #WORLDCUP2014 Giovanni Trapattoni will this afternoon name his squad for the qualifier double header — against Germany and the Faroe Islands — at the Aviva Stadium this afternoon. We’ll be there.
4. #RUN-IN St Pat’s kept their part of the bargain last night in the Airtricity League title chase, beating Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers 2-1 at Richmond Park. The win leaves the Saints in second place, six points behind leaders Sligo, with five games left to play.
5. #WIZARD You win the All-Ireland minor football championship. And then meet up with Hogwart’s favourite son. Why not?
