Hamilton High School, one of Arizona’s top high school teams, face Notre Dame High School of California at 7.30pm in the evening’s main event. Two more schools are due to be confirmed for a curtain-raiser which will open proceedings at 4pm.
Last week, GIFT organisers announced Páirc Tailteann in Navan as the venue for a game between Notre Dame Preparatory High School Saints from Scottsdale, Arizona and Father Judge High School Crusaders from Philadelphia, which takes place on the same evening.
A third venue, which is expected to also be in Dublin or a neighbouring county, is still to be announced.
Dublin legend Brian Mullins has been appointed as GIFT honorary chairman for the games at Parnell Park, organisers confirmed today. All 12 touring teams will hold an opening training session the day before their games in UCD, where Mullins is now Director of Sport.
Tickets for all three events will go on sale on 1 March at the host venues priced €15 for adults and €10 for students, with free admission for children aged 12 and under.
