  • The World Athletics Championships continue in Beijing tomorrow and the main headline events are as follows: 

          Men’s 800m final - Irish time: 1:55pm

Men’s 400m hurdles final - Irish time: 1:25pm

Women’s 1500m final - Irish time: 1:35pm

  • There’s Champions League play-off action too as Celtic take their 3-2 first-leg lead to Sweden. Their game with Malmo kicks-off at 7.45. 
  • In the League Cup, a few Premier League teams feature. Aston Villa host Notts County, Leicester are away to Bury, it’s Luton v Stoke, Newcastle take on Northampton, Watford are at Preston, Norwich visit Rotherham, Sunderland face Exeter and it’s West Brom up against Port Vale.
